Statutory Obligation Register

Every other tool here documents or calculates one thing. This answers the prior question: given this establishment's state, type, headcount and workforce mix, which obligations apply, when is each next due, what is its status — and which page on this portal closes it. Set the facts once, work the register, print it as a client report.

Citations on this page are pre-Code. This register cites the Factories Act 1948, EPF Act 1952, ESI Act 1948, Bonus Act 1965, Gratuity Act 1972, Maternity Benefit Act 1961, CL(R&A) Act 1970 and ISMW Act 1979 — all of which were repealed on 21 November 2025 when the four Labour Codes came into force. The obligations themselves largely survive inside the Codes, but the citations, several thresholds and every form number have changed. For a client-facing assessment use the Company Labour Audit, which is written against the Codes and the Central Rules notified 8 May 2026. Re-citing this register to the Codes is queued work, not done work.

Establishment Facts — No company selected

These are the facts that decide applicability. Nothing here is cosmetic — each one adds or removes obligations from the register below. An establishment fact you get wrong produces a register that is confidently wrong, so set them from records, not memory.

The Register
How to read this register. Applicability is derived from the facts above using the thresholds written into each Act — an obligation that does not apply is not listed, because padding a register is how a report stops being believed. Due dates are computed forward: a recurring obligation always shows its next occurrence, never a stale past date. Overdue therefore only appears where a date-certain deadline has genuinely passed. Items marked Verify are ones where the rule really does vary by state rule-set or notification — that flag is used sparingly and deliberately, not as a blanket disclaimer. Nothing here replaces a reading of the notifications in force for your state and category.
